Labs and Facilities
The Department of Computing has well equipped laboratory facilities complete with modern desktop environments, providing a pleasant working environment for undergraduate students to undertake their practical and assignment work. The following links provide a brief description of the computing laboratories, server computers and services available.
Computing Facilities are only available to students for purposes directly related to their academic programs. Students violating this (playing computer games, using facilities for non computing units or personal use) may have their access rights withdrawn for a period of time.

| ScienceIT helpdesk | The main point of help for technical problems. Please log a service request or contact them directly for Help. |
| Lab Support |
The Lab Support Officers (LSOs) are available to help you with technical problems such as "Internet Explorer does not work", "I can't login", "There is no paper in the printer" etc. You'll see LSOs in the labs wearing 'LSO' lanyards around their neck. |
| Print Quotas | Each unit has a print quota. Students are only permitted to print material relevant to Computing units (e.g. assignments) from the laboratory printers. |
