About This Unit
ISYS302 focuses on issues with regard to project management, focusing on the management of IT projects specfically. To this end there is some commonality between these two areas and this is likewise reflected in the syllabus. This is not so much a programming unit as a unit on the issues involved with managing analysts and programmers as well as appreciating the logistics of IT projects themselves. For this reason there is also a groupwork component to the course which emphasises team building and the ability to get on with fellow colleagues. The unit bears a passing resemblance to ISYS360, however the latter is a general management unit, rather than an IT project management unit.
