Tutorial 1.2:Analysis of a Computer Game

In this tutorial, we expect you to analyse a computer game in detail.
This may be either your most popular game, or any game you came accros on the Internet.
You may visit the following web sites and investigate their game demos for analysis, if you like.

Exercise 1: Goal & Topic Analysis

What is the name of the game you have chosen for analysis?
Who is the developer of the game?
Define the possible goal of this game, if there is any.
Define the topic chosen to achieve this goal.
Is it successful in achieving the goal?
What kind of research, do you think, the developers of this game have done on the topic?
Exercise 2: Scene Analysis
Explain a popular scene taken from this game and define the elements of this scene.
What elements (game characters, objects, and background) and what kind of actions are involved in this scene?
Is the storyboard sequential, or interactive?
Write the possible interactive storyboard supporting this scene?
Define the "if-then" clauses in this scene?
Exercise 3: Adaptation
Examine the scenarios in the following address:

How could you improve the storyboard in the scene you have chosen?
