About This Unit
This unit focuses on building applications for the Internet and the WWW which is a complex and fast-moving field as it utilizes a variety of continually evolving technologies such as X(HTML), JavaScript, PHP, XML and CSS to name but a few. The unit also provides an overview of emerging Internet and WWW standards, an introduction to the core technology of RPC and middleware that support various web applications, as well as issues related to the provision of secure Internet/Web services.
